'Belonging II' is the second edition of a custom artwork I created for a couple inspired by their favourite lake in Germany. I immediately took on the piece because I'm so drawn to lakes. Where oceans are vast, mysterious, and even intimidating, lakes are intimate, calm and mostly serene. Their gentle surface is so receptive to the conditions around it. Sun reflects off its glassy waters , rain creates ripples across its surface, and wind blows tiny waves towards shore. Lakes welcome us in with such ease. I believe these are some of the reasons that the lovely couple who commissioned this piece requested it be titled 'Belonging'. 
 
As all prints are made by had using the block printing technique, each will have some minor differences and small imperfections, which I believe adds to the character of the print. I cannot guarantee that you will receive the edition featured in the photo.
