All That Passes

All That Passes

Portraiture has often been used throughout the history of art as a vehicle for communicating the interior world of the subject.

My work is not intended as portraiture, but my subject is interior life. Even more specifically I'm interested in how we can live present to each moment, no experience being more important than any other. Through this way of being we become more and more aware of the passing emotions, disturbances, and delights that exist within us, watching them with love.

While many of my favourite artists have chosen to bring viewers into presence through abstraction or landscape works, my greatest artistic interest is in the human body. Through my figures I see the interior depth that humans are capable of experiencing.

As all prints are hand pressed, each will have some minor differences, which I believe adds to the character of the print. I cannot guarantee that you will receive the edition featured in the photo.
