High up in the Moonlight
This piece is part of a series I created as a celebration of nature, choosing to represent earth, water, and sky in three separate images. I wanted to honour the power of nature to promote wellbeing, preserve life, and to inspire awe.
We have such a strong reaction to images of nature, because it is so essential to who we are. I love to set figures within landscapes to remind us that there is no supposed separation between us and it, as we are but a piece of the ecosystem. We receive its nourishment, and at this moment we are the most powerful participants in its ability to thrive, or not. My images serve to honour our place within it, to express appreciation and to acknowledge a commitment to care better for it.
